Greatest Cheater Anthems Of All Time

With shows like Love & Hip Hop (any city) glorifying the “side chick” and “side d!$%”, one may believe this is a new trend. Long before reality tv (and before SZA decided to have custody of her man on weekends), R&B put hoes on pedestals. I compiled a list of hits that attempted to show paramours as innocent misunderstood beings. They also happen to be some of my favorite songs.
“As We Lay” Shirley Murdock (1985) / Kelly Price (2000)

“You’re The One” SWV (1996)

“My Little Secret” Xscape (1998)

“Boyfriend #2” Pleasure P (2009)

“Down Low (Nobody Has to Know”) R. Kelly (1995)

“Creep” TLC (1994)

“Saving All My Love ” Whitney Houston (1985)

“I  Can Love You” Mary J. Blige (1997)
